Scientific Challenges

An scientific challenge helps to identify innovative topics and overcome technological barriers. It brings together a small team of three to four scientists, who are also encouraged to promote interdisciplinarity and the dissemination of information to the general public.

The combination of a teaching service release, two doctoral and postdoctoral projects, and the selection of topics that encourage interdisciplinary collaboration enables results to be produced quickly.

These projects are funded under the I-SITE (“Sciences, Innovation, Territories, Economy Initiative”) national label of academic excellence awarded to the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour for its “Energy and Environment Solutions” (E2S) project.
